About the Journal

The Caucasus Journal of Social Sciences (CJSS) (e-ISSN 2960-9380) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published annually by the University of Georgia. Established in 2008, the journal publishes original research articles, review papers, and analytical contributions across a broad range of social science disciplines.

CJSS provides an interdisciplinary platform for research in anthropology, archaeology, economics, education, geography, history, digital social sciences, international relations, law, linguistics, political science, psychology, and sociology. While the journal maintains a strong interest in the Caucasus region, it welcomes submissions from global contexts, particularly those that engage with broader theoretical, comparative, and methodological debates.

The journal prioritizes rigorously conducted research grounded in sound scientific methodology and subject to a double-blind peer review process. It seeks contributions that offer analytically robust insights into social, political, and economic processes, advancing scholarly understanding beyond descriptive accounts.

CJSS supports interdisciplinary dialogue and the integration of regionally grounded research into wider academic discourse. Special issues dedicated to emerging and significant themes in the social sciences are published periodically.

All content is published online with immediate open access and is archived through PKP PN (LOCKSS) to ensure long-term preservation.
