Advertising Policy
The Caucasus Journal of Social Sciences (CJSS) does not currently accept or display advertising on its website, within published articles, or in any journal-related content.
1. Current Policy
CJSS operates without commercial advertising. The journal does not generate revenue from advertisements, sponsored content, promotional materials, or any other form of commercial advertising.
The journal does not display banner advertisements, pop-up advertisements, native advertising, or third-party promotional content on its website or within published articles.
2. Future Advertising Considerations
If advertising is introduced in the future, it will be governed by the following principles:
- Advertisements will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
- Only relevant, appropriate, and academically aligned advertising will be considered.
- Advertising will comply with applicable ethical and legal standards.
- Acceptance or rejection of advertising will be determined independently of editorial decision-making.
Any future advertising policy will be published on the journal website before implementation.
3. Revenue Sources
CJSS operates under a diamond open access publishing model. The journal's editorial and publishing activities are supported through institutional funding provided by the University of Georgia (Tbilisi, Georgia).
CJSS does not generate revenue from:
- Article processing charges (APCs);
- Submission fees;
- Subscriptions;
- Advertising;
- Sponsorships;
- Membership fees;
- Reprints;
- Commercial publishing services; or
- Other publication-related fees.
CJSS does not publish sponsored special issues or sponsored supplements. All special issues are subject to the same editorial standards, peer review procedures, and publication ethics as regular issues.
4. Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, including originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Advertising, institutional funding, sponsorships, special issues, supplements, or any actual or potential source of revenue do not influence editorial assessment, peer review, acceptance, rejection, or publication decisions.
The journal's editorial processes are conducted independently of any commercial or financial considerations.
5. Separation from Content
Should advertising ever be introduced, it will be clearly separated from editorial content and will not be integrated into articles, peer-reviewed material, reviewer reports, or editorial decisions.
CJSS does not permit advertising that could reasonably be perceived as endorsing, influencing, or interfering with scholarly content or editorial judgment.
CJSS does not use targeted advertising, behavioural tracking, cookies for advertising purposes, or user profiling to deliver advertisements.
