Article Types
The Caucasus Journal of Social Sciences (CJSS) publishes high-quality scholarly contributions that advance research across the social sciences. Authors should select the article type that best reflects the purpose, methodology, and scholarly contribution of their work.
All submissions must fall within the journal's Aims and Scope, comply with the Author Guidelines, and satisfy the journal's ethical and editorial requirements.

Research Articles
Research Articles present original scholarly research that makes a significant contribution to the social sciences. Submissions may employ qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, comparative, historical, theoretical, or interdisciplinary approaches.
Requirements
- Original and unpublished work.
- Clear research question or objective.
- Appropriate methodology.
- Critical discussion of findings.
- Contribution to existing scholarship.
- Compliance with ethical requirements where applicable.

Review Articles
Review Articles critically evaluate and synthesise existing scholarship rather than presenting new empirical findings. They should identify developments, debates, methodological issues, knowledge gaps, and future research directions.

Book Reviews

Book reviews should be objective, balanced, and supported by evidence. Promotional or purely descriptive reviews are not accepted.
Special Issue Articles
Special Issue Articles are submitted in response to a published Call for Papers and must satisfy both the journal's standard requirements and any additional requirements announced for the particular special issue.

Material Not Normally Published
CJSS does not normally consider the following:
- Opinion pieces.
- Editorials submitted by authors.
- Conference abstracts.
- News items.
- Purely descriptive reports lacking scholarly analysis.
- Previously published manuscripts.
- Manuscripts simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
Exceptions may be made only at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
