The Caucasus Journal of Social Sciences (CJSS) is committed to protecting intellectual property rights while promoting the dissemination and accessibility of scholarly research. The journal ensures that all published content respects copyright, licensing, and ethical use of third-party materials.
Copyright and Licensing
All articles published in CJSS are made available under an open-access model. Authors retain full copyright of their work. Upon publication, articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted work:
- Is original and does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others;
- Has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere;
- Properly acknowledges and cites all sources in accordance with academic standards;
- Includes permission for any third-party material (e.g., figures, tables, images, datasets) where required.
Use of Third-Party Material
Any material not owned by the authors must be used in compliance with applicable copyright laws. Authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder where necessary and provide appropriate attribution. Evidence of permission may be requested by the editorial office.
Plagiarism and Misuse of Content
CJSS does not tolerate plagiarism or any form of intellectual property misuse. All submissions are subject to similarity screening using recognized tools. Suspected cases of plagiarism or copyright infringement will be handled in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies and may result in rejection, correction, or retraction.
Author Rights
Authors retain the right to:
- Reuse and distribute their work in any medium;
- Deposit the published version in institutional or subject repositories;
- Use the work for teaching, presentations, and future publications, with appropriate citation to the original CJSS publication.
Publisher Responsibilities

Post-Publication Issues
If intellectual property violations are identified after publication, CJSS will investigate the matter and may take appropriate editorial action, including issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.
