Direct Marketing Policy
The Caucasus Journal of Social Sciences (CJSS) conducts all direct marketing and promotional activities in accordance with internationally recognized standards of publication ethics, transparency, and academic integrity. Marketing communications are professional, accurate, appropriately targeted, and intended solely to inform potential authors, reviewers, and readers about the journal and its publishing opportunities.
1. Principles
CJSS promotes the journal through responsible academic communication. The journal does not engage in misleading, aggressive, deceptive, or unsolicited mass marketing practices ("spam").
Marketing activities are intended to inform researchers, reviewers, academic institutions, and the wider scholarly community about the journal's aims, scope, policies, and opportunities for publication.
2. Calls for Papers and Manuscript Solicitation
Calls for papers and invitations to submit manuscripts are distributed through appropriate academic channels, including the journal website, professional associations, universities, research institutions, conferences, mailing lists, and social media platforms relevant to the journal's scope.
Email invitations are sent only to researchers whose expertise is relevant to the journal or to recipients who are reasonably expected to have an academic interest in the journal's subject areas.
The journal does not guarantee publication, rapid acceptance, preferential editorial treatment, or publication within a specified timeframe in any marketing communication.
3. Accuracy of Information
All information published on the journal website or included in promotional materials is accurate, current, and verifiable.
CJSS does not misrepresent or exaggerate:
- The journal's aims and scope;
- Editorial policies;
- Peer review procedures;
- Publication timelines;
- Acceptance rates;
- Indexing and abstracting services;
- Journal metrics or citation indicators; or
- The composition of the Editorial Board.
4. Third-Party Marketing
CJSS does not employ third-party agencies or commercial organizations to solicit manuscripts on its behalf.
The journal does not purchase author contact lists or conduct unsolicited bulk email campaigns.
Any promotional activities conducted in collaboration with academic institutions, scholarly societies, or publishing partners are expected to comply with this policy and internationally recognized standards of publication ethics.
5. Editorial Independence
Marketing and promotional activities are conducted independently of the editorial process.
An invitation to submit a manuscript does not imply acceptance for publication or preferential treatment during editorial assessment.
All submitted manuscripts undergo the journal's standard editorial screening, peer review, and editorial decision-making procedures, regardless of how the manuscript was solicited.
Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical standards, and relevance to the journal's scope.
