Respectful Communication Policy
The Caucasus Journal of Social Sciences (CJSS) is committed to fostering a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in the publication process. We believe that constructive scholarly communication is founded on mutual respect, integrity, and professionalism.
Our editors, editorial staff, reviewers, authors, and all individuals representing the journal are expected to communicate courteously, ethically, and professionally in every interaction.
Likewise, we expect authors, reviewers, readers, and members of the wider academic community to engage with the journal and its representatives in a respectful and professional manner.
CJSS does not tolerate abusive, aggressive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or bullying behaviour in any form, including communications by email, telephone, online submission systems, social media, or any other means of contact. Personal attacks, intimidation, offensive language, defamatory statements, discriminatory conduct, or any form of harassment directed toward editors, reviewers, authors, editorial staff, or other participants in the publication process are inconsistent with the values of the journal.
Where inappropriate behaviour occurs, the Editorial Office reserves the right to take appropriate action. Depending on the seriousness of the conduct, this may include issuing a warning, limiting or terminating communication with the individual concerned, declining to process current or future submissions, removing the individual from the reviewer database or editorial roles, or reporting serious cases to the individual's institution, employer, research funder, or other relevant authorities where appropriate.
These measures are intended to safeguard the integrity of the editorial process and to ensure that all participants can contribute to scholarly communication in a safe, respectful, and professional environment.
CJSS is committed to treating all individuals fairly, impartially, and with respect, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, race, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, institutional affiliation, career stage, political beliefs, or any other protected characteristic. We expect the same standard of conduct from everyone who engages with the journal.
By submitting manuscripts, accepting invitations to review, serving on the editorial board, or otherwise interacting with the journal, all participants agree to uphold these principles of respectful communication and professional conduct.
