The results of the study of the Late Hellinistic burial discovered in Samshvilde in 2023 are presented in this paper.
Despite the fact that the Georgian traditional historiography associates formation of Samshvilde as the political-economic center to the Hellenistic era, no archaeological evidence of this period have been identified here yet. In this regard, discovery above mentioned burial is important, as it can bring more answers for the studies of the past of Samshvilde archaeological complex.
Scientific importance of this discovery is also increased by the fact, that it represents a certain, well stratified archaeological context for determining other archaeological contexts located on the same section of the settlement and the stratigraphic picture in general.
