Data Sharing and Reproducibility
The Caucasus Journal of Social Sciences (CJSS) supports transparency, openness, and reproducibility in scholarly research. Authors are encouraged to make the data underlying their findings available to the scholarly community whenever possible, in order to facilitate verification, replication, and further research.
Data Availability
Authors should provide a clear Data Availability Statement in all submitted manuscripts. This statement must indicate:
- Where the data supporting the findings can be accessed (e.g., repository, supplementary files);
- The conditions under which the data can be accessed;
- The reason why data cannot be shared (e.g., confidentiality, legal or ethical restrictions).
Data Sharing
Authors are encouraged to deposit research data in appropriate, recognized repositories and to provide persistent identifiers (e.g., DOIs or stable URLs) when available. Data should be shared in a format that allows other researchers to interpret and reuse it.
Reproducibility
Authors should provide sufficient detail in their manuscripts to allow others to replicate the study. This includes, where applicable:
- Clear description of research design and methodology;
- Detailed explanation of data collection and analysis procedures;
- Access to relevant datasets, instruments, or code;
- Disclosure of any tools, software, or analytical frameworks used.
Ethical and Legal Considerations
Data sharing must comply with applicable ethical standards, including the protection of personal data, confidentiality, and informed consent. Where data cannot be shared due to legal or ethical constraints, authors must clearly explain these limitations in the Data Availability Statement.
Editorial Assessment
The editorial team may assess the adequacy of data availability and reproducibility information during the review process. Where necessary, authors may be requested to provide additional clarification or access to supporting materials.
Post-Publication Transparency
Where relevant, data availability information will be published alongside the article. If concerns regarding data integrity or reproducibility arise after publication, CJSS may take appropriate editorial action in accordance with its publication ethics policies.
