Sönmez ÇELİK is an information and library science specialist with extensive experience in academic librarianship, open access, institutional repositories, and scholarly publishing systems. His work focuses on strengthening research infrastructure, improving visibility of scholarly outputs, and supporting the development of open science practices.

Research & Publications

His research and professional contributions are situated at the intersection of Open Access and Scholarly Communication, Institutional Repositories and Digital Libraries, Journal Management Systems (OJS and related platforms), Academic Performance Evaluation Systems, Information Literacy and Library Services.

He has contributed to national and international initiatives supporting open access and academic publishing standards, including editorial work with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
