About Zurab Papaskiri
Dr. Zurab Papaskiri, Doctor of Historical Sciences (Habilitation), is a Professor at Sukhumi State University and Head of the Department of History. A leading scholar in the history of Georgia and the Caucasus, his research focuses on foreign-policy history, international relations of medieval Georgia, and the historical issues of present-day Abkhazia.
