About Tea Meshvelishvili
Dr. Tea Meshvelishvili is an Associate Professor and Researcher specializing in Turkology at the University of Georgia. She teaches Turkish language and Ottoman studies within the Faculty of Humanities and serves as a researcher at the Tamaz Beradze Institute for Georgian Studies.
Her expertise spans the history of Turkey, Ottoman Turkish, and Ottoman manuscripts, and she has actively contributed to research on Ottoman-Soviet relations and historical manuscript analysis.

In September 2024, Dr. Meshvelishvili was appointed Associate Professor in the Department of Turkology at the University of Georgia’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities. In 2025, she was invited as academic personnel at Black Sea Technical University, Trabzon.
