About Maia Chkheidze

Dr. Maia Chkheidze, Ph.D., is a distinguished Professor of Philological Sciences at The University of Georgia. She serves as the Head of the Department of European Languages and Philology, where she leads academic and research initiatives in linguistics and literary studies.

Her expertise spans multiple disciplines, including Structural and Cognitive Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Anthropological Linguistics, and the Analysis and Interpretation of Literary Texts. Dr. Chkheidze has authored numerous scholarly publications and textbooks, focusing on linguistics, communicative didactics, intercultural communication, and research methodologies.

As an active academic, she regularly participates in international, national, and local conferences and is affiliated with UNESCO’s partner organization FIPLV and the Multilingual Association of Georgia (MAG), demonstrating her dedication to linguistic research and education.
